Counting Collections is a learner-centered activity that supports students in making sense of quantity and the number system while counting collections of objects. In this workshop, participants will learn how to engage TK, K, and 1 students in the meaningful, hands-on activity of counting objects to support students number sense development. Participants will watch videos and develop strategies to support students’ mathematical thinking. Participants will plan for activity implementation.
